Yes, Metro 2039 has an official Steam listing. The correct listing is App ID 2590240, published by Deep Silver and developed by 4A Games. It is currently available for pre-purchase and is scheduled to release on February 4, 2027. The game has not launched, so it cannot be played or reviewed by Steam users yet.
In the supplied U.S. storefront snapshot, the Standard package costs $69.99 and the Deluxe Edition costs $99.99. These are pre-release prices from November 3, 2026 and may change.

How to identify the official Steam listing
Official Steam edition graphic associated with App ID 2590240.
Use the App ID rather than relying only on the game name. The official listing has all four of these identifiers:
- The title is METRO 2039.
- The URL is associated with App ID
2590240. - The developer is 4A Games.
- The publisher is Deep Silver.
This also distinguishes the new game from Metro 2033 Redux, Metro: Last Light Redux, Metro Exodus, and Metro Awakening. Metro 2039 is a new mainline single-player game, not a Metro 2033 remaster or an expansion for an earlier title.
Steam editions at a glance
Steam currently presents two digital pre-purchase choices. The package labels matter because the Standard option already includes a separate Specialist Pack item, while the Deluxe option adds an upgrade item.
| Steam option | Items shown in the package | U.S. snapshot price |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | Metro 2039; Metro 2039 Specialist Pack | $69.99 |
| Deluxe Edition | Metro 2039; Metro 2039 Specialist Pack; Metro 2039 Deluxe Edition Upgrade | $99.99 |
Both prices are storefront snapshots rather than permanent price guarantees. Check the amount displayed by Steam for your account and region before completing a purchase.
Specialist Pack
The Specialist Pack appears as a separate Steam item in both pre-purchase packages. The supplied official material identifies it as DLC and a pre-order bonus, but it does not explain its individual in-game items or effects. Do not choose between the two Steam editions on the assumption that the Specialist Pack is exclusive to Deluxe; the current package lists show it with both.
Deluxe Edition Upgrade
The Deluxe package adds the Deluxe Edition Upgrade. The official edition information associates Deluxe with a story expansion, digital soundtrack, and digital art book. Steam presents those benefits through the upgrade item rather than listing each one as a separate package entry in the captured purchase panel.
The upgrade should not be confused with the physical Collector's Edition. Steam's visible purchase choices in the supplied material are the Standard and Deluxe digital packages.
What is available on Steam before release
You can currently use the listing to pre-purchase the game, follow its announcements, view its trailers, and access its Community Hub. Steam does not yet have player reviews because the game remains unreleased.
The supplied structured store data marks full controller support. It also says the game is temporarily excluded from Steam Family Sharing because it has not been released. That note does not establish whether Family Sharing will become available after launch.
Before paying, verify three things on the purchase panel:
- Confirm that the listing uses App ID
2590240. - Check whether the selected package is Standard or Deluxe.
- Read the price and package contents shown for your own Steam region.
A third-party Steam key offer is not the same as purchasing the package directly from the official Steam listing. The supplied research does not establish the activation restrictions, refund terms, or reliability of every outside seller.
Current PC information and limitations
Steam currently states only that a 64-bit processor and operating system are required. It does not provide confirmed CPU, GPU, memory, storage, or DirectX targets for Metro 2039. Requirements from Metro Exodus or another Metro title should not be reused as substitutes.
The supplied material also does not provide a Steam Deck compatibility rating. Full controller support and Steam Deck verification are different storefront signals, so one should not be treated as proof of the other.
Because this is a pre-release listing, several decisions may be easier after launch information is complete. Wait for updated official details if your purchase depends on final PC requirements, Steam Deck compatibility, player reviews, preload support, or the exact contents of the Specialist Pack.
