Metro 2039 Deluxe Edition Guide

The Metro 2039 Deluxe Edition includes the full game, a future Story Expansion DLC, a Digital Art Book, and a Digital Soundtrack. The US Epic Games Store lists the digital edition at $99.99. A separate US PlayStation 5 physical listing adds a game disc, an exclusive Steelbook, and a hardback art book for a listed price of $109.99.

Metro 2039 remains a pre-release game. It is scheduled for February 4, 2027 globally, with February 5 listed for some regions in Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. Prices, retailer stock, and preorder offers can change before launch.

Metro 2039 Deluxe Edition contents at a glance

The confirmed Digital Deluxe package is straightforward: it combines the base game with one future story expansion and two digital extras. The supplied US PS5 physical listing includes those digital benefits plus physical collectibles.

The Story Expansion DLC is described only as a future expansion. Its story, release date, length, and separate price have not been announced in the supplied material. Do not buy the edition on the assumption that the expansion will be available on launch day.

Digital versus physical Deluxe

The digital version is the clearest option if you want the expansion and digital extras without physical merchandise. The confirmed Epic Games Store package contains:

• The full game
• Story Expansion DLC
• Digital Art Book
• Digital Soundtrack

The supplied physical Deluxe listing is specifically for PlayStation 5 in the United States. It adds a game disc, exclusive Steelbook, and hardback art book while retaining the expansion and digital extras. That listing does not establish that every country, retailer, or platform will receive an identical physical package.

The physical Deluxe package should not be confused with the Collector's Edition. The wearable replica Spartan helmet is associated with the Collector's Edition, not the confirmed Deluxe packages described here.

Current Deluxe Edition prices

These are pre-release US storefront prices recorded in the supplied research. Taxes, shipping, regional pricing, promotions, and later storefront changes are not included.

On Epic, the Digital Deluxe Edition costs $30 more than the Standard Edition at the recorded prices. That premium buys the future Story Expansion DLC, Digital Art Book, and Digital Soundtrack. The PS5 physical price should not be treated as a direct cross-platform comparison because it also covers physical packaging and collectibles.

Epic also advertises a 10% Digital Deluxe preorder discount for account holders who own a qualifying digital Metro title on that storefront. The listed qualifying games are Metro 2033 Redux, Metro: Last Light Redux, Metro Exodus, and Metro Exodus Gold Edition. The offer is scheduled to expire on February 4, 2027, at 11:00 AM ET and is applied at checkout.

Metro 2039 preorder bonus

The Specialist Pack is a preorder benefit rather than one of the four consistently listed core Digital Deluxe items. It provides early unlocks for the Munitions, Chemtech, and Equipment backpack upgrades.

“Early unlocks” means the supplied description does not establish that these upgrades are permanently exclusive to preorder customers. It also does not confirm whether the pack will be sold separately or remain available after release. Check the exact product page and checkout summary before paying, especially if ordering close to launch.

Release timing and platform limits

Metro 2039 is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Confirmed PC storefronts for the game include Steam, Epic Games Store, and Xbox on PC. However, the supplied research gives a complete Deluxe product description only for Epic's digital version and a US Amazon PS5 physical listing.

Do not assume that Steam, Xbox, or another regional retailer will use the same price, physical contents, delivery method, or preorder terms. The supplied material also does not confirm a physical PC Deluxe package.

The game is still under a pre-release information baseline. Store descriptions and promotional material are not evidence of final build behavior, launch-day performance, or the timing of post-launch content.

Choosing the appropriate edition

Choose the Digital Deluxe Edition if your priority is access to the announced Story Expansion DLC and you prefer digital extras. At the recorded Epic prices, you are paying a $30 premium over Standard for the expansion, Digital Art Book, and Digital Soundtrack.

Consider the listed PS5 physical Deluxe version if the disc, Steelbook, and hardback art book are important to you. Confirm that the retailer's final listing still includes every physical item and that it ships to your region before ordering.

Choose Standard if you only want the base game and do not want to pay in advance for an expansion whose content and release timing remain undisclosed. The supplied edition descriptions do not identify separate launch gameplay modes, weapons, missions, or performance features that are exclusive to Deluxe.

Before placing a preorder, verify:

• The platform and whether the product is digital or physical
• The regional release date shown by your retailer
• The final price, tax, shipping charge, and currency
• Whether the Specialist Pack still appears in the order summary
• Whether physical collectibles are explicitly listed for that SKU
• Whether you are comfortable buying before the Story Expansion DLC details are announced

The confirmed package is enough to compare the main formats, but several platform-specific listings and expansion details remain unresolved before launch.
